Q - What made you want to train MMA?
A - I first became interested in MMA around age 15 after having grown up playing sports like hockey and rugby at high levels. I found that my athleticism from other sports easily transfered over to MMA. As I started to train and gain a love for the sport, MMA was becoming more main steam. Since I found myself fighting in all the other sports I played, I decided to just go ahead make fighting my sport.
Q - What do you think makes you stand out as a fighter?
A - I think that my mental preparation and my athleticism would be have to be considered my biggest tools. I think these 2 areas are what distinguish me from other fighters.
Q - Who or what do you get your inspiration from?
A - I think that what inspires me to fight is the feeling of pushing my mental and physical capabilities to the limit. I think fighting is purest form of competition in the world. And to have the ability to compete at a high level is a constant struggle both externally and internally. Mastering this battle is synonymous with becoming a more dangerous fighter; this is what inspires me to continue.
Q - If you could fight someone famous, who would it be?
A - If I were to fight anyone, I would like to fight Georges St. Pierre because in my opinion he's the best fighter in the world at my weight class and fighting him would be an honor.
